In this article I offer you 3 Simple Self-Love Practices to Love Yourself More: There are daily affirmations, prayer, and guided meditation.
Shifting the balance
From doing more and squeezing more into your day to doing less and loving yourself more
As a super busy working woman, you recognize and appreciate the value of having more time for yourself and self-love, but putting that into practice is overwhelming, especially if you’ve spent years, like most women, putting the wants, needs and desires of your family and work commitments in front of their own well-being.
And there is nothing wrong with it.
In fact, your desire to provide a safe, loving, and secure home for your family is part of your reason for constantly striving to “do more and get more out of your day.” All I’m saying is that there comes a time when onlyfans free trial links
you have to hit the brakes, look in the mirror and say “what about me, what do I want?” and turn on the light of love in the fulfillment of your dreams and the inner beat of your heart.
In many ways, the more you practice self-love, the easier it becomes to see life through the eyes of self-love and your own well-being without feeling guilty and “selfish” for putting yourself first. At the end of the day, all spiritual teachings and philosophies emphasize the importance of self-love and acceptance.
3 self-love practices to help you love yourself more
Daily Self Love Practice # 1 – Read Self Love Quotes, Affirmations & Inspirations
“I am the apple of my eye, the spark of inspiration that I follow” – Ntathu
“Every day I love myself more and more” – Ntathu
“The more I take care of myself and value myself, the stronger I become inside” – Ntathu
Create your own affirmations or choose the 3 above, write them down and every morning, when you wake up and before getting out of bed, say them out loud in a low voice. As an added gift to yourself, you can slip your affirmations in your bag or write them on your phone and during the day, especially when you feel stressed, read them to yourself. You will instantly tune into that most loving side of your being.
Daily Self-Love Practice # 2 Pray and express gratitude for your health and well-being
If you are not religious, the idea of prayer may disturb you. I recognize that when I went through a phrase of questioning “God and all that religious stuff” when my brother and cousin passed away, which over the years led to a more spiritual and moving connection to life. However, over the years, I now appreciate the importance of spending a few minutes in quiet contemplation and prayer.
If you are comfortable praying, here is a prayer of gratitude that I wrote that I am happy to share with you.
Take a moment and say the prayer below
Dear Divine Mother
Thank you for the love that flows freely through my heart, for the love and devotion that I now give to myself; for the deployment of unlimited energy and reserves of peace. Thank you Mother Earth for the endless streams of life that now flow effortlessly through my soul enriching my life and filling me to overflow; for the feeling of peace and serenity of spirit. I am strictly in awe and I pray that life will flow forever. Thank you Divine Spirit for giving me one more chance and loving me more.
Daily Self Love Practice # 3 Meditate
If you practice meditation, you will know that it is one of the best gifts you give yourself. There are many meditations out there and in the course of your personal self love journey you will come across different techniques and experiences.
As a beginner, it is always easier to practice and learn meditation from an experienced teacher.
Here’s a self-love guided meditation for you to practice
After you have said your 3 daily affirmations, made your morning cup of tea and said your daily Prayer of Gratitude, find a quiet place, put your phone on a timer for 3 minutes, get comfortable, inhale and exhale a few times through from your nose, lower your shoulders and read the following passage out loud to yourself. After you’ve read it, sit quietly and when the timer goes off, spend a few more moments sitting still before getting back to your day.
